Rather interesting article. Some of the facts I already knew, but the rest were informative. Certainly each individual should, with the advice of a medical doctor, try to consume a diet of foods which correspond to that individual's health. And that diet should also be coupled with a minimum amount of exercise. The only way I know to check blood sugar spikes are with a blood test, although some people (when experiencing low blood sugar) can "feel" the need to eat; over-weight individuals and diabetics (or people with initial onset of diabetes) might feel hot (enough to sweat), or have their hands shake, or just not feel well. So, they need to eat, and in some instances, I was under the impression that orange juice is most effective in getting into the system quickly. So, as a general rule and certainly on a personal level, I cannot buy into the idea to eliminate the consumption of all fruits or fruit juice, but it is something about which to think. Good article. Thanks.
